This illustration was #1 in a series of three pieces depicting an olympic athlete for a poster or postage stamp design in different mediums. I began with a photographic reference of a female olympic diver, drawing her shape, and then using colored pencil to add in the detail. The background was completed with soft pastels and the final drawing was manipulated in Photoshop.
