This second design for Com Dot Net was intended to treat the technical support nature of the company a bit more lightly. A more cheerful color palette was used and humor was introduced to relax consumers with the addition of the artist's figure riding the ethernet cable on the right side of the page. This character was intended to be recurrent throughout the web site in different variations. In addition, the curves in the chosen design elements were intended to be a refreshing change from the typical boxy designs of most web sites at this time.
